hey got an issue with some catch can tube (clear braided) that i purchased recently.
the 1metre tubing is tied and twisted in the packaging...i tested the new piping by driving for a few kms and it becomes heaps soft once warmed up.
the issue is the sections of piping that were bent during packaging seem to be weak and the vacumm of the intake manifold causes the pipe to suck closed. it's the same as getting pliers and clamping the pipe.
i noticed when i got home and left the engine idling...
is it just bad quality piping? even the black oem tube is heaps stronger. should i get a refund and look for better catch can tubing that's heat resistant?

just replaced it with some vinyl hose from bunnings
either that or it might just be too long and the heats allowing it to kink

the tube i cut is not long at all. it's the same length as the oem piping which is ~25cm.
i didn't add a catch can yet...it's still set up as PCV > IM
=_=

different bend radius?
could just whack it into boiling water for a while so it can straighten out and won't have kink points

not sure if i want to try that...
the section i cut out is just a curve...

Just get some new piping.....
A 'perfectly round' pipe depending on the material is strong against suction, it will retain its shape. Once its squashed though, it looses its roundness and is more suseptable to collapse under suction.
With the oem connection from PCV valve to IM. If you've put your own pipe in, the bends may be a bit tight, which will cause your problem as well.

so when the pcv hose has collapsed what happens?
i'll probably need to drive 5-10km to honda to get a new pcv hose.
i've managed to cut a solid round pipe so will that be safe?
i can't reuse my original pcv hose because i ripped it while removing it =_=

shit...this catch can hose is so crap/weak...the new section i cut out had a very tiny kink or something..it managed to collapse near the pcv valve when i took it for a 5km drive just then...
i'm gonna take my other car to buy a replacement hose...
not gonna risk blowing my oil seals or something
