never heard of anyone loosing it....just do it with the car on a flat surface and the small nut wont slide too far either way.

move the bolt of compensator arm to the middle n unbolt it from there. not taking it out from the edge.

apparently not (http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=1792249&highlight=compensator+arms) that (http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=1619903) uncommon (http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=1636282)
hopefully i have some luck doing it

looking at the photos here (http://www.honda-tech.com/showpost.php?p=21707570&postcount=16) i'd be better off actually moving the bolt to the sides, unbolting and bolting it back up?

multiple times taken off and put back on again in multiple cars never had an issue.australia doesnt get the drastic weather that the US gets and thus excess rust and crap would result in a seized bolt or nut.
Point is , take off with force but when tightening do it finger tight to grip the nut behind. Place a large screwdriver to lever the compensator back n forth easily too. then once it grips then tighten as per normal to 64nm
