Yeh the lock doesn't work from the inside, has no tension whenever I move the lil lock thing it just moves freely, can't lock the door from inside. How can I fix this?

I also have this problem but only driver side. Try removing the door trim and have a look. Could just be something that may have come loose.

easy fix i assume

I had similar problem but my lock wouldnt budge, the actual lock motor jammed and just had to repalce it, but as said before, just take off door trim and have a look

its a common thing for EGs..the lock tab that you usually push is broken..try taken the lock off and plastic weld it back into position. i did it to my old eg

If you have previously removed the door trim it may also be caused by not having the trim back in the correct position.

Happened to me when I re-trimmed my doors.

Best to just remove the trim and see if it works without, and trace from there.

i had the same problem in my EM1. Originally it was really hard to lock the door from the inside and then it got to the stage where I couldnt unlock the door from the inside or outside so I had to climb in through the passengers everytime (I perfected climbing into the passengers recaro then climbing out over the centre console and into the drivers seat quickly lol). I had to get a new locking mechanism which was around $300 from Honda

f*** that im not gonna pay that much just for a lock tab. so you have to change the lock/handle bracket on the inside?

u should take off the door trim and see whats broken first before going out and buying parts.

its the lock tab that is broken, it look like if i were to change it i would have to get the whole bit including bracket, handle, lock tab...
all i wanna know is if i just need the lock tab or the whole bracket?

Im pretty sure you would only need the lock bracket. I had the same problem, the lock broke off from the wire that pulls the lock. you can improvise and use something else to fix it
