If they are not on our shores yet it will be too early for any one to give you an honest opinion. Hopefully the pinging issued has been fixed at the manufacturing stage.

It is a car I would recommend to anyone without hesitation. For the money I don't believe there is a similar size car that comes close to it in any area.

Had mine 12 months, best car I have owned. If I won Lotto I would keep it and buy a couple more in different colours!

well, any colour bar 3, no way would i have black, silver or volcano grey ..... now that will create some controversy.....lol. i know there are only 6 colours to choose from, so that would limit me to 3 Euro's ...... 1 of each spec level.

Only mexicans buy dull colours that go with the dreary, sad, depressing weather. It's why Victorians wear black. And not because it was Queen Victoria's favourite colour.

How's that for controversial?

I sooooo regret black now. Wish I went white, blue or grey now.

I just dislike dark colours, way too much work to maintain to my standards, even though I now believe i have found the perfect (for me anyway) product. I also have a severe disliking for silver, so for me in order it is White, Blue or Red. No disrespect for those with other colours as it is a personal thing.

No chance of a swap there Joystick, I have enough trouble maintaining White with my back problems.

For those interested I have just clocked up 17000km ..... who would believe an overall fuel consumption average of 7.18, nothing short of amazing.

Agreed the CU2 is up there! Build quality over the CL9 is nuts! I've probably said this heaps of time but we almost didnt even check out the CU2 because we didn't think it would be much different to the CL9. Lucky we did, build quality was up there with the Audi B8 A4 and the features for the price made the decision easier. Plus its a Honda :D

P.S Grey fo lyf y0 :p

I love my CU2, although I really wished my dealer brought the "Luxury" edition in. The additional features are worth the extra, do consider getting the Lux ed instead.

Each to their own when it comes to updating to the luxury, if you live in tropical QLD you don't want leather seats or you will finish up with a roasted butt, same goes for a sunroof which would never be used, A/C is a must.

so really I guess it depends on what part of the country you live in.

Thank you all for your replies , they have been most helpful..!! I really appreciate everyone's feedback:) I am definitely getting the Euro..!!

I have ordered the car in the Silver ( Due to our hot climate here in Darwin) is the metallic finish worthwhile , does it fade?

Don't know what to say really! Being from NSW Victorians are our natural born enemies, But my car is Black!

It does Look good when its clean, but it is a lot of work. Son gave me an orbital polisher for fathers day which should help on the elbow grease.

Euromob, there is a silver one in my street, I'm not a great fan of silver normally but it looks good on the Euro, seems to match in well with the grill and the alloy's. Look after it and you won't have any paint issues.

CU2 is a great car - have had mine for 2 months now and love it. For those who own a CU2 std, does yours can use the Remote to wind down the windows when holding the unlock buttons for 5 secs? I can't seem to get it to work or is it available at all ? Look forward to those owners reply and thanks.

Have it since Valentines day (coincidence only :p) and still loving it... bad comment? there's the post combustion issue, my front left speaker's dead and its black (should've listen to your advise buddah! :p).

Anyway, its the best car I've ever have and I still prefer this to my friend's C200 ($1400 extra for folding rear seat is ridiculous!!!). But regarding build quality, if you look at the details really really detailed, you can see some bad build quality. For example, when I took it to my smash repair, he pointed out that the gap between the front left and the back left door is smaller to the one on the right hand side. He even quote that Honda's build quality is getting poorer... but heck, who cares about 0.001 mm difference, right? :p

Denot, if you can find the time I would advise doing what I suggest in that link. Put your foot down if your lady tells you not to spend so much time on it, or better still, get her to help. I think you will be very surprised with the result & I would be interested to know how long it would last on a Black car.

I love Black when it is new, but unless you are prepared to spend several hours a week on cleaning it looses it's new appearance very quickly (my opinion only). For that reason I prefer light coloured cars (with the exception of silver) as they are easier to maintain. With some effort i have got my pearlesent white to reflect like a mirror in the right light conditions.

Recently started using Meguiars products myself after some advice from a work colleague (the Cleaner Wax and Scratch X), great result, people walking past asked me if it was a brand new car.

Particularly like the Scratch X, I had a scratch on the passenger door from some inconsiderate A Hole in a car park. After a few applications of Scratch X I don't even notice it anymore and I know where it is/was.

LOL yeah, especially when the tree outside our place is full with pollen. :( Washed the car one day @ my friends apartment, bring it home. take a quick shower myself and then get out to drive, its covered with pollen already :(

Bottom of your pool? HAH! nothing compare to ours! ours can breed crocodiles and alligators in it! green and yucky!!! hehehehe Oh well we're moving soon, so hopefully I can get a garage this time :p

BTW thanks for the link buddah! just need more time to convince my wife about spending $100bucks to buy the products from waxit :p

why not the manual? It should provide you heaps more fun

Sure, a manual can be more fun on odd occasions, but the way auto transmissions have improved over the years they are well worth considering for a number of reasons :-
1 - A lot less hassle when in city traffic
2 - A taller top gear which helps with economy on country trips
3 - With the advent of sports mode & paddle shift it can be just as much fun
4 - Auto's are much more popular these days & tend to hold resale value better

But like everything it comes down to personal opinion & what you want from a car.

They are too tall and scuff up pretty easily.

In the USA, from late august early september, they start selling Model Year 2010 spec cars, the new models sell along MY2009, so its up to you to do a deal thats right for you. Either old or new, the choice if yours based upon what you like to own.

yep - standard base model 2010 model has the window remote feature....its good on a hot day coming back to the car and just having them wind down from 30 feet away....its the ongoing subtle upgrades and improves on the production line that they dont tell you about and are not a marketing tool that makes the 2010 worthwhile I reckon.

Are these people legitimate? Please advise if anyone use these services.. Does it worth....How do these people get cost price(dealer pay actual price to get the car)..

Hi, newcomer and first post.

Anyone heard of this upgrade and or delivery delay??

I think a boatload is due to dock anyday in Melbourne from Japan - I was quoted a 19Oct09 delivery date (approx two weeks after the scheduled docking) when I placed my order in early Aug. Luckily, my dealer actually managed to get me one off the September shipment.

Most of time it's how proactive the salesman is - you never know, you might be able to get one earlier than quoted if you push the issue or go to another yard.

Yep go to another dealer , the one u are at now would have sold their consignment , if u go to someone that havn't sold every car on their incoming list u should get one much sooner. The MY10 is the mild upgrade.
