Why can't i post in the cars for sale section

Just a quick q. I want to know why I am unable to post in the cars for sale section. I would prefer my EJ8 to go to a Honda enthusiast. Is it because I have no rep points or something?

yeh, you gota have "member" and not newcomer status to sell things.

Fair enough, rules are rules I guess. Yeah the EJ8 in the pic is my car. Wanting to sell it as I need the cash for a restoration project. Hard to part with it, I've been given the gf a million and 1 reasons not to sell, but its finally reached the last straw so it was either the Civ or the celica.

How do i get member status? is it based on reputation?

yeh the rep points. Contributing helpfully will earn you points. (not automatically, its when a member with lots of points gives u rep)

Sweet thanks mate, I have contributed a little. Might just have to work on it till I get enough rep to post an ad. I would really like the EJ8 to go to a honda enthusiast that way I know it will be taken care of.
