Big congrats to 2002 TeGgY (Fadi) for setting the new heavy weight title (1250kg) in a DC5R today @ WSID with three passes and new tyres running a new PB of 12.4 @ 108mph 1/4 mile. Time slips will be up soon to back it up. It was a good day for it but had to end Fadi's excitment due to lack of time and other commitments (my apologies:(). The car kept going faster and faster. Major possibilities for a 12.1 with more driver practise and no granny shifting.

Quickest DC5R in OZ. Gotta love hearing that. You just kept going going faster and faster. No one was expecting those times but its obvious there is still more in it. Once fadi solves the granny shifting ( you can almost have a yawn between 1st and 2nd gear) lol then a low 12's is doable. But awesome awesome effort and congrats fadi. Now go and buy a KPRO and stop borrowing mine. From the D.H.P.C ( Dr Honda Pit Crew ) Congrats phil on another awesome power plant.

Im happy to help anyone for any advice regarding any drag racing with Honda's . Glad to see you running real fast on your 1st testing day. Great 60ft on those tyres with such a heavy car.
Need to work out to run faster down the 1/8 mile then you will run low 12s.

After reading Benny's comments i tend to agree with his prediction's, of somewhere around the 108ish MPH, but guess "time will tell"
Good build and well done to all involved.
Well done Fadi, good to see the results of the thread we all commented on some time back, Benny and i were on the money regarding the MPH.

The wheels wouldnt make that much of a difference compared to that ramp rate, would have been good to see a comparable dyno sheet thats all, your power comes on a little earlier then it did but other then that looking very similar as i would expect down the 1/4 aswell, time will tell.

No prob, credit where its due, im all for it!
Regarding its speeds it should get quicker and hence my comments of looking forward to seeing it go quicker, though and as i stated earlier, some gearing changes would really make a big difference with the added displacment and torque of the bigger motor though it doesnt come cheap and i dont know how keen Fadi is in running such gearing in his daily drive but having that 6th gear in a K sure does make it alot less annoying then a b series car!
Sounds like Fadi was driving it pretty well so if it does get up there, let us know what changed. ;)

999 ran an 11.5XX from memory. it was still in the circut setup, wheel spin was insane and the 60 was around the 2second mark.. it was a sloppy start, once it got traction it took off.
im looking foward to seeing Tim (12PIN) run a time... most of all, i just want to hear that thing on full song....

Sure will, but dare say most of the improvements in MPH will be via gearing, be that physical gearing or wheel size, look forward to seeing its progress.

I wouldnt be suprised if alot of improvement comes from the driver and car at all, keep up the good work. ;)

At the moment the car is doesn't need improving. There's still a .2 or .3 to left in the car once Fadi's driving is fine tuned. Once thats is sorted then gearing and wheel size would be the next option, but for now the car is fantastic.
I still cant believe that he pulled out those times.
