Hi all.

I am interested in buying and installing power mirrors to replace the manual mirrors on my EK CXi hatch.

I would like to check what parts are required? (mirrors, controller, etc.)

Also, is all the wiring in place on the CXi models, so you can just plug and play?

Cheers for any help

I too am interested in this. I doubt that the wiring is in place already. You will probalbly have to run the wires yourself. But im pretty sure there is a hole in the dash where the controls for the mirrors go.

Sorry I cant really help!

If you do get them installed, post some pics up

:)

I would like to do this. But there are other things that come first (ie. Alloys, Cupholder :p) also I have my HSC coming up. That kinda puts the handbrake on any progress on the car front.

I guess you can buy all the parts for this from a wreckers or something?
A write up would be greatly appreciated!

I remember a dude on the net who did this... if i find my bookmarks i'll post it here. It's probably somewhere in the forum as well.

But from what I remember, he had to replace the wiring to support the power mirrors and at the same time he installed power windows.

were power mirrors an option for any AUDM EK model?

I believe that they came on all models above the GLi. These models also came with power windows, and a Tacho.

The CXi is the budget basement model, which didn't come with power anything.

The CXi was honda's way of distinguishing the real men from the rest.
Real men wind up their windows with a handle, instead of using a pansy button. :p

That being said, Drum brakes were a pretty cheap way to go about things.
