someone is selling an ek4 sunroof in forsale section, all u gotto do is buy it and pay a sunroof place to cut the hole and install, u would rather pay fora genuine ek4 sunroof then a crappy aftermarket one which isnt really oem for the car

EK's got the option of a pop-up one or a slide in.

Slide in Sunroof is more rare then the pop up (I believe)

That's 80kg or so of weight you are adding to the roof of ya car, that = less handling ability.

Just as long as you are aware.

I love sunroofs but I wouldn't put one on my civic cause civic's need to be light.I know this now. When I have a passenger in the car,80kg,the car is heavier to drive,it sucks.Putting 80kg on the roof would be worse, handling wise.

Food for thought!

just called up a sunroof place and they told me i cannot get a roof from a wrecker and have it fitted due to the fact that no place in australia has the jigs to do it. so im thinking of gettin the ones that just pop up like on the eg's with the handle for $645.

Did you happen to get a quote for the sunroof that mechanically slides in and also pops up?

I wish it was 80kg Beez.... I would have loved to have dropped that much from high up when I stripped it out earlier this year.

The EK4 factory unit including glass would be in the 25-30mark.

I got one at my garage, waiting for install back to my EK4, and I weight it, only around 20-25kg.
I think don't get DC2, as the shape and size may be different, it will only cost you more difficult and more money to install. Just get a EK4 one...
