b18cr conversion

hey guys i have a b18cr engine but dont have the wiring loom or shiftlinkage,

is it possible to use a standard eg shiftlinkage or do i need to look for a dc2r shiftlinkage

and was wondering whats my options with the wiring loom, does it have to be a b18cr wiring loom or will any b series loom do?

any bseries loom should be rite if its a obdII? and i think it needs to be dc2r shiftlinkage

depends on what car u drive

u got a ek? you cant use dc2r engine loom as its a different setup to ek, what you will need if u got a ek is an vtir or aka ek4 engine loom.. even ej8 loom..

if you got a eg then dc2r engine loom is a must

Also. depends on what eg you have as well. If your eg is say gli or non fuel injected then for non fuel injected you will need to fuel inject it of course and also if your eg is not vtec you will need to create a wire for the vtec as your car was originally no vtec and you will need to get a knock sensor for your eg as well as the eg wont have it. But if say your eg is vti then i believe should be straight swap with b18cr and the b18cr looms. not very sure on the shift linkages but i'd suggest go the dc2r linkages :D

can you use ej8 looms i thought the ej8's is a d series motor so i would be thinking its different looms as well im not sure but correct me if im wrong ;D. em1 should be fine as its vti-r.

and with the shiftlinkage is it a must for dc2r shiftlage? does anyone noe??

dc2r shift linkage is not a must if you have a ek vtir or integra vtir .. basiclly if u have a honda that doesnt have b series you will need the shiftlinkage! vtir engine loom for a eg is ok that can be done

and sangz i put b20/vtec into my ek and i used ej8 wiring loom all ok no troubles :)
