explain to us more Mark.....

my guess is that the engine briefly misses at that RPM ?!?

COULD be bad spark leads....
COULD be injector leaning out....
COULD be fuel pump on its way out....
COULD be fat friend moving aroudn at that RPM...lol

Tell us more !

Well driving along minding my own business this nice big banked corner comes up on me so I decided the only way to get through it is to drop back to third and punch it! so as I put it back into 3rd the revs are at about 4000rpm as I extend my leg to puss the petal to the floor the cars gets going screaming when I take her in to the beloved vtec sweet spot and then around 6000rpm it dies on me like ive lost traction or something engine still screaming but no power???

MARK! this isnt a flame, but search for my name for something similar...

i cant remember exactly what it was, but i think i experienced this a LONG while back. i remember getting a flat spot and it seemed that the needle and engine just revved straight through, except there wasnt any power... just revving through. like as if suddenly in neutral.

i cant remember when, but try ur luck in search bro! maybe it might help?

Hey mate,

I seen your thread but didnt get much out of it other yhan it sucks and it could be heaps of things! So i think its time for a big servie and just change everything and clean everything up! Hopefully will do the trick!

When are we going to sort out a DC2 photoshot? You me & jone should make a date for one!

could be any part of the ignition system, dizzy cap , rotor button, leads plugs.
