Hey guys,

Having problems with the 5 stud brake upgrade on my Eg civic with B16a motor.

The problem is the drive shaft on the driver side. Firstly I had a shaft that was too small for the bearing to fit into. The I when to a CV Shaft place to get the right shaft for the bearing... all is good except the shaft seem to be too short.

When i finish the setup i can see the cv boot stretching and i can feel the 3x bear on the edge of the inner socket... is this correct??? (I think this will be a bit dangerous if it slips)

I just want to know which drive shaft from which model and year I can use for the upgrade or the length of the shaft required.

Cheers

RaY

Have you got 36mm 5 lug conversion or 32mm ?

From what the CV guy told me its a 32mm.

How can you tell & which part do you measure???

you measure the spine part of the drive shaft or the hub
some times if its oem drive shafts you can tell by the colour markings on them

Just measured the hub, its a 32mm shaft.

Went to the wreckers today, will i be able to use a shaft from a 98 integra with a 4stud hub??

or a shaft from a 99 crv??

That all they have there atm.

Cheers
