195/55 r15 or 195/50 r15

on a ek1, can you tell just be looking at the car whether it has 195/55 r15 or 195/50 r15? i know the radius of the 195/50 will be slightly smaller by like 3.5mm and it'll put the speedo slightly off, but i'm asking from an aesthetic viewpoint.

It will say on the sidewall of the tyre.

Not sure about ek, but on my EG, i have 195/55 and using a tyre size calculator, i found that my speedo is out by 3.1% - if i used 195/50, it should bring it back to normal. Not sure if thats the case with ek coz i dont know what their stock tyre size is

EK1's run a 14' tyre from factory. if it has aftermarket wheels then the tyre size will be what ever the person has fitted. i have a EM1 that has a 195/55/15 tyre size from factory but i have aftermarket wheels and run a 195/50/15 tyre. it all depends on what you like the look of and function... you could also go 205/50/15 if your running a wider rim like a 7' rim. :)
