hi,
any1 know if i can do this conversion?
H22A VTEC engine into a civic coupe.(96 model).
if possible,wut other parts do i need?gearbox?
i heard,to do a conv cost somthin like ~1200.is it true?

do a search, you will find lots of threads about this. dont think 1200 will cover the install though, and yes you will need to change the gearbox to one that siuts the H22A.

dunno where u got ur sources from..but i rekon thats abit too low.

l rekon round the 6G mark...

engine=3000-5000 depending on condition
install= depends on the mechanic but for an engine install it would start at about 1500
you also need, new gearbox,ecu... dont forget you cant keep your aircon or powersteer.... check out croydon motorsports theyve done this conversion on a few hondas in cluding my friends crx "taken" now bearing plates "h22a"

Engine will be around 2.5 k mark, they arent as expensive as compared to teh B series engines.

But installing it in costs more than a B series.

And itll be a tight fit too and u need to upgrade all ur brakes and suspension to support the higher power and torque and weight.
