Having had an Civic EK VTi(coupe) and now a DC2 VTi-R Integra, I'd have the Civic again if I had to chose one over the other.

fast? both won't get u excited whilst driving bog stock. both are bland and boring cars with not much power.

looks? its up to you. there are teggy fan boys and civic fanboys. now u deciede which side of the fence u sit on civic or teg.

i prefer integra because it looks agressive and is a nice sleek coupe ... has a great long hatch that acted kinda like a ute for me

but the EK is also very cool ... depends if u mean the EM1 or EK4 tho

i reckon the vtir might have just enough to get u a lil excited, take the pod filter cover off:P
could do that with the civic too but dc2s look way better in my opinnion, i like civics too but i'd use an eg if i wanted to build a race car sins its light. civics CAN look good if u know what to do with them but stock vs stock dc2 will blow em away but go facelift if u want a teg

ive beaten all of those stock for stock when i had my VTI-R - wether due to the cars or that most of the other drivers wer drop kiks ... not sure lol

i would say that the dc2 vtir is 100% more fun, better looking and has a WAAAAYYY nicer interior than any of those cars

Mate just get what you want. Obviously everyone here is gonna be bias on what they want, either because they drive that make/model car or its just a car they've always wanted but couldnt get.

It's all you, go for a test drive in each car and think from there on.

You speak like a youngin fresh off his L plates!

Stock for stock its not even worth talking about.
It will all come down to the driver.

Looks department, you need to answer that one yourself.

edit: DO NOT TALK ABOUT STREET RACING!

You beat an NA supra? i believe the others, but NA supras run anything from a 14.7 to a 14.1 on the 1/4 mile.

Stock vtir's would be lucky to crack a 15.7

Either the driver was a deadshit like you said, or i call BS.

I'd guesstimate most b18c2 teg's to have anywhere between 90-98kwatw.

Sam, they're only slow because of the weight. 14.7-14.1 is about right. I know personally of an NA supra that has run a 14.1. He's on supra forums.. Pretty much the fastest stock NA supra in OZ

This supra you speak of, does it happen to be silver and dumped?

because I have a mate that happens to have run a 14.1 in his n/a supra and he has a silver s2 dumped?

O and to keep this thread on track, i know it was talking bout stock vs stock but how much power would a b20 block with b18c2 head be making?

Ditto, at the end of the day, you're the one that's going to be pouring your money into it, plenty of people start off with one or the other and later on down the track decide they want the other. Power wise, don't quote me on this, but i think tegs are quicker, civics on the other hand are lighter. They both have huge potentials to look great and perform. Best if you drive both and see which one you like rather than getting bias opinions from both side of the fence. GOODLUCK

Second hand car market is a buyers world. There's hundreds of them out there, keep waiting until the perfect one comes up, but even then only offer a reasonable price and no more.

Like an old Nissan Silvia, you'll never find one which hasn't been, how shall I put it, ... enjoyed. Engines are made to spin and the B18C is one hell of a machine.

It's better to buy a car from an intelligent owner who admits enjoying it but also understands his responsibility when it comes to maintenance, than an idiot who will tell you everything you "want" to hear. Your gut will differentiate between the two.

id say between 10k-15k - im judging this based on buying a 'vtir' with a decent year (between 97-99) and an average amount of km's (for eg. a model that has driven say around 12,000 km's per year

Around 10k at the most if you actually look on carsales at the semi decent condition ones.

I picked up a modded 97 Integra recently.... Turbocharged dc4 with 196 k on the clock for just under 9.5k. But not sure about how much the Vtirs are worth. I'd say you could pick a nice one up for under the 10k mark like 02gzm said.
