Hi ok so ive recently bought a integra dc4 gsi 96 model, and because it was damaged when bought i have spent nearly all my funds on it. so what should be done in modding wise which is good but cheap?

in terms of pricing, intake would be the cheapest go for a drop in filter or a cold air intake

if your budget is tight, i'd say get an intake on it first.

then you can work your way on rims and Lowering.
I'd leave the exhaust last.
IMO i wouldnt bother about headers.

yea i know what u mean man...but come on u get a honda..u join ozhonda first thing that comes to ur mind is "lets ask some people bout there opinion" ur not gonna give a f**k about searching haha u know what i mean??

ps,,,gsi's dont come with vtec so no point doing to much to the engine (unless ur gonna stick a turbo in it) but yea pretty much the basics will get u somewhere

yeh thats what im going to down the track once i saved up a little
im going to put in a type r engine into it and once i eventually get off my p's ill put a turbo system onto it...plus some other things

I wouldnt spend too much on it man, GSI is slow as ****, but its good for a p platers car... I had a GSI for about 12 months..

My advice -

* Get a cat back exhaust system got for $250 2nd hand
* CAI for sure... ebay got one for like $150 ish
* Drop it on its ass with some low sports springs, get new shocks. cost me like $500ish
* 17 inch deep dish wheels. $1200 ish
* short shifter kit. $150 ish
these are some basics u can do for like under 2500 or so bucks...

lol with all the money that a ITR engine swap + turbo + supporting work would cost wtf didnt u juss buy a ITR in the 1st place lol or at least a VTI-R

gsi is a good runabout still tho ... but i wouldnt waste too much $$$ on it ... keep it saved for a good base to mod

the reason why i didnt get a vti-r is because i couldnt afford one lol, and not to mention with my gsi i got a great deal =]. like being 17 i wouldnt have much money but yehh id love a b18c5 engine in my car =]..one day

To be honest....search! To many people ask this and what you no you hear the same answers lol.

I/h/e then ecu and tune then go on from there. Don't need to waste money on other things. Engine is your main priority imo...

yeh i have been searching and what not but theres not to many aftermarket parts for the b18b engine which i have

yehh i have my myspace avatar up there until i get a better pic of my integra gsi...atm it looks fairly average

i wouldnt waste my $$ on a type-R swap, when you can b20 your car or ls/vtec for much cheaper and be faster.

A swap is in your own opinion..

I wouldn't bother modding the b18b till your on full licence. Only good thing for them is turbo...and to say b20? Its a b18b no vtec so what's the point.

Why is a type r a waste of $$?

lol yeah I read what you wrote. I only said about b20 and as for lsvtec he would still need to find a b16 or b18c with tranny..he might not want to go through all the hassles......back to topic lol....don't bother just wait it out.

hmm yeh i might not bother with the type r engine because of i just saw how much they are going for, they are going for twice the amount of a vtir engine, and theres only 20kws difference, so with my car being a gsi with a b18b engine its probs best of me keeping the car stock and making look as good as it can and go and buy a vtir.

lower it on some springs 1 step (not super low or anything)

get a desent cheap intake on there for induction roar

put a type-r front lip on it

than u will be happy =)

hmm i like those te37 copies, i noticed instead of volk it says vork but they pobs did that so they couldnt get sewed or something
hmm with what you said there how much you think that would set me back?
coz ill probs put on some 16' te37's which will be like $699... just dunno the rest aye...hmmm ill research that =]

preface lift aye...thanks mate, has solved a few problems. yehh that doesnt sound to bad aye.. hmm ill do some research...get some prices together and well yeh. the funny thing is that i go for my p's test today haha :|

remember u have to put tyres on those wheels as well ... make sure u get some good bridgestones or yokis

yehh well i deffo save up for some te37's and then ill go some yokois...then when i save up a little more a full exhaust system and some king springs and a k&n air filter system
what do you guys think about a cwest spoiler on my gsi?

but if ur going to put one on get a gen1 mugen spoiler. only spoiler that looks okay
