Hi guys,
I have spray painted my front bumper, first did 2 coats of the plastic primer, then did 2 coats of the paint. It does not have a glossy look like the other panels of the car. I was thinking of applying clear.. Just need a opinion on what to do cos im a n00b at this lol
thanks guys :D

you have to apply clear, it protects the paint
the clear makes it glossy, from previous experience, if ur using the K&H Brand, its better to spray it on quite heavier instead of light to get a good glossy finish. u also gotta give it a good wet sand down aswell. but thats just from what i experienced, but probaby better to spray heaps of light coats i guess
and u have to have prepped it right, like wax/grease remover first, then sanding it down, then apply the coats with some light sanding inbetween

^As fine as possible. Start with bigger ones and then move down so that you get it perfectly smooth.
Sanding's the most important bit, so the finer u can get it, the better.

it all depends on what sort of paint you are using if its solid or metallic acrylic or 2k if your using acrylic then you definately need to clear as acrylic straight out of the gun doesnt have a very glossy finish but solid colours sprayed in 2k generally if sprayed right comes out perfect all metallics should have clear it makes the metallic finish pop but preperation is key if not done properly it doesnt matter how good a painter you are the finish comes out shitty hope this helps
