2 egs.. 1 red one, dunno about specs but was running mid 15's
black eg was d series turbo ran mid 14's
And i also saw a maroon rotary AH civic?? Thing was quick
I ran, but didn't do too well, Jon ran his boosted D crx and made it to the top 4, but red lighted in the semis. I was running 14.5's and Jon PB'd an 11.6
We (crxaustralia) also entered and won the Club Display.

i ran my turbo dc2 integra there, very well run event and alot of competitors, but such a shame that all the classes have gone to dyo now.
i got through to the top 8 but broke out against the eventual winner of street compact. qualified fastest for class but backed of every single run of the weekend to keep out of the 10's, fastest run of the weekend was 11.1@133mph very frustrating! lol
i was talking to a guy out there (can't remember his name) that took a lot of photos and video of my car, if he reads this could he get in contact with me please!
hopefully there will be more hondas there next year!

yea the car is street registered, i built the car up and it was my daily driven car in new zealand and i've now privately imported it to australia, it has only been here a couple of months!
i ran it at a couple of test and tunes prior to the jamboree, but again had to be very careful not to run into the 10s as i wouldn't be able to compete at jambo with out a roll cage.
i accidently run a 10.95 at a test and tune straight after the jamboree so i'm in the process of putting a cage in it so i shouldn't have to sandbag anymore! lol
the motor has sleeves, pistons, rods, headstuds, valve springs, and retainers.
the fuel system is a single 255lph walbro intank pump, stock lines, filters and fuel rail with 880cc injectors and a aeromotive fpr.
the turbo is a precision sc61, which is basically a non ball bearing gt35r.
ecu is a link g4 plug in and this runs 4 ls1 coils for ignition.
everything else in the motor (crank, bearings, head, inlet manifold, throttle body, cams, etc, etc) is stock honda.
drivetrain is also standard honda, except for a twin plate clutch.
makes 330kw@wheels on pump gas and 425kw@wheels on c16.
i'll try sort some photos, or if the person i talked to at the jamboree reads this feel free to post up some pics!
any other questions just ask!
cheers bruce

yeah your car was definately a suprise man.
I seen it run an 11.6 in the first round of qualifying and went down to check the car out in staging and caught a glimpse of the 'DUZ10S' NZ plates.
Biggest air filter i have ever seen on a honda ;)

hey turboteg, i remember seeing you do your first test and tune in aus, i came over and had a chat with you. you ran 136mph on low boost that night, was jamboree just pump fuel runs?
what sort of mph do you think you can get out of it on full power?
will u be hoping for low low tens on full power? sounds like it has alot left in it!!

not really sure what mph it would do on full power and unfortunatly i'm not going to find out as i'm not prepared to weld a full cage into it and bring it up to specs to run over 140mph, i run 139.8mph at the second test and tune i went to and that was with a couple of pounds boost left i imagine it would only do 142-143mph somewhere around that.
i'm doing a cage that will allow me to run down to 10 flat and up to 140mph so i'll set up the speed limiter so it can't go faster than 140, and get it sorted out alot better in the first half of the track, i mean it will run high tens on pump gas so it should be able to run mid to low tens on c16 if i can sort it out to use the extra power in the lower gears.
on the saturday of jamboree i run pump gas but switched to c16 on sunday and turned the boost well down because i didn't want to risk it on pump gas with the high temperatures out there! bit different than new zealand! lol

so is it street registered or able to be registered if you wanted to?

it's street registered and daily driven here (legally lol) it's only over here for a couple of years and then it will be going back to nz, it meets full queensland laws except it doesn't have a catalytic converter (which you don't need in nz), the way i have been able to import it (because i'm a nz citizen and owned it for more than 12 months when i was in nz) and the short term that it is in the country it is able to be used daily and driven here on the new zealand rego and warrant of fitness (safety cert), thats why it still runs the nz number plates "DUZ 10S".

if you wanna enjoy driving that thing around ( i know you said it was going to be a winter car) in the summer, you may wanna sort out some air con lol like you said, its alot different over here!
good luck getting that first half of the track sorted, maybe some boost by gear and wheelie bars will get you the results you need? what sort of 60ft would you be looking for?

most of the problem is tires at the moment, the current tires that i'm using are over 4 years old and have done close to 90 passes, when they were new it would always be in the 1.6x sixty foot range with a best of 1.63 the best i've done over here is a 1.78 and most of them are 1.8x or even 1.9x, and the half track time is down by almost half a second even on the same power as i run in nz!
i have some 25x8.5 /13 full drag slicks for it which will be alot better than the current dot approved hoosiers that i've always had to run in nz, i definitly won't be putting wheelie bars on it (it is a street car afterall), and it already has boost per gear but i haven't had a chance to really fine tune it yet, once i get back to the track and can get some datalogs without having to back off i should be able to at least get the half track times back to where they use to be in nz!
looks like you're getting your times down to:thumbsup:

yeah im happy with how my times are going! when i started i was hoping to get into the 12's on street tires and into the 11's on slicks, but im at about 11.6 with 1.8 60ft's so thats really good. hopefully with the new power i have and a better 60ft and staying in 4th i'll be below 11.5. but time will tell.
my fastest time has been on borrowed slicks that are only 22inch, so im finding myself changing into 5th for a few seconds at the end of the track, only about half or less of the gear.
my street tires i think measure 24in and i trap pretty much on the limiter in 4th with my old power. so it looks like i might have to raise my rev limit, or get bigger tires to run to its potential. im thinking 25in slicks should get me over the line on the limiter at about 127-128mph, which would be great! but i dont think it has that much mph in it, but we'll see!
so your goal is 10.01 @ 139mph??

the mph is realistic but it doesn't have those sort of et's in it, not without doing a lot of suspension and other work that will make it very uncomfortable on the road!

car made 337hp at 8500 rpm with over 300hp from about 5500 to 8500. on 20psi on pump fuel.
shift light set at 7500
havent been to the track yet with the intake manifold on yet, hoping to head out on wed test and tune with the borrowed 22inch slicks again and get below 11.5! that would be sweet! hoping with the combined more power, and much greater area under the curve for my torque and with some preloading of the suspension on the launch, i should be able to do it! i'll let you guys know how i go.

got the car back out to the track on saturday night to try the new tires, came away with a best of 10.67@136mph with 3 or 4psi of boost left, with a bit more tweaking off tire pressures and boost per gear settings we should be looking pretty good next time out.
