Anyone recommend between these two? Both seem like the company top 6 By 9's but can't decide which to do with for my EK1 sadan. Anyone heard both/either before?
Also anyone heard the 6.5inch Type r splits or 2 ways? Can't decide what to put in the front doors :/

Imho the Type R coaxials for the front are complete rubbish but the splits blow them out of the water. The 6x9 when I heard it sounded somewhere in between the 6.5" splits and coaxials in respect to clarity of the sound.
Havent heard the Rockford so I cant comment.

really the front coaxials suck? hmm. I've been pretty keen on just going with those + the type r 6x9's in the back. I want everything nice, tidy and stock. i don't really want the seperate tweeter mounted seperately to avoid punks breaking in... maybe splits really are the way to go

Well I have high quality speakers in my car so I'm a little picky when it comes to speakers. My opinion is that the splits are much better than the coaxials because to me they sound a lot clearer. The best way to get clear sound from coaxials is to actually get a set of splits with the tweeter mounted to the midrange but still wired separately. Basically a cross between the two with the best of both worlds.

well i just went and ordered the type r splits :) i was reading from someone that its a much better idea to have great front sound and simply disable the rears then have a decent sub. so thats what im gunna do for now. Just gotta wait for them to arrive from overseas :/
