You could get something AWESOME for that much. My picks are:

http://www.shoppingsecure.com.au/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=42
http://www.shoppingsecure.com.au/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=20
http://www.shoppingsecure.com.au/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=5

Thats Speakers / Speaker Amp / Sub Amp / Sub Box / 2 x Subwoofers / Wires

Total value somewhere in the area of $2600 and can easily be done for a little less than $2k.

Thats just gear and not including the head unit or installation. If that budget includes installation and head unit let me know and I'll pick out something different.

Sorry if I got a bit carried away, I love the systems suggestions threads. Its always fun planning a system! If you have any questions about why I suggested that specific combination feel free to ask :)

No, GP didn't come into consideration. It is my primary consideration to suggest something that will give the best performance for the amount of money spent. Satisfaction is far more important than anything else, within reason ofcourse.

Of course installation would be needed but i have a head unit already..
So that'd be everything i need ready for a set up for the install correct?

Also in need of replacing door speakers.. if possible
Will get the sizes for em.

Btw why u pick all that gear?
Brand is very new to me, the ones u mention'd

A distribution bock and speaker cable isn't included in those links but thats something that I would provide regardless.

So yes, that would be everything. Deadener is also recomended and I think it would help the system sound better, but the system will still work without it.

I specifically suggested speakers with a minimal mounting depth because I thought that might be the case. Dimensions and mounting information is on the site so check it all out. If I'm wrong about them fitting just let me know and I'll help you out with a solution.

And I definitely hope it sounds good for the price, thats the goal :D

$1500 - $2000

1 6.5" split speakers set (Front)
1 6.5" speakers (Rear)
1 10" or 12" sub woofer
1 4 channel amp to run sub and front speakers.

Since its a DC5, this would be very enough for your daily use.
and it wont cost you 1500 to 2000...at most 1000 including labors.
