Hey guys, jsut installed hid's on my dc5.. over some humps n bumps, the driver side HID flickers on n off. Does anyone know any causes for this? Or is it just a lose wire? Also i havnt modified my xclips ,but im pretty sure my bubls are securely tightly in the houseing.

definately loose wiring. take the hids out of the headlights, and make sure the wires are all visible and then turn them on and examine all the connections. fiddle with each one of them, to see which one is making it flicker and how you can prevent it! good luck!

You may need to install a relay between power source and bulb.

sounds like loose wiring,
double check them all, put some electrical tape around them to keep them firmly in place.

i have similar problem too, doesnt happen all time
it could be loose wiring, bulb not plugged in place tightly
just recheck everything is in place properly

i have the same problem too! but most of the time it flickers then just turns off. mind you its only on the passenger side. i think my ballast is dying or something wrong with electrical cause my passenger side's parkers always blow

Its definitely the wiring IMO. I had the same problem. As soon as you turn it on, it flickers for a bit, the ballast makes some weird noise and then it turns off. Turns out the part where you connect the ballast to the bulb was no good, probably coz i bought it cheap from ebay. So i went to Autobarn and bought new connections (ie. the waterproof plug) and replaced it. Afetr that all was fine. Good luck
