I am just wondering if the Mugen airbox - which fits in the CTR EK9 - will also fit into an EK4?

I have had a search on the net, with no luck - but have included some pics below:

im sure it will fit, u just need to remove the stock airbox and resonator and hook it up to the stock intake pipe

in case u get the mugen airbox -

link shows how to take it off the airbox and resonator.

Thanks for that and also for the great link as well!

I had no idea you actually had to remove the front bumper to take the resonator out - are you sure you really need to take the bumper off to unscrew the nuts?

Thanks,

Yes you definitely have to remove the front bumper to remove the stock resonator. I did that when I fitted my ice box, which is similar to the Mugen air box.

As a matter of fact I even removed my guards for better access. Just becareful not to break the brackets holding the resonator on the chasis as the bolt may be very tight. It happened to me and I twisted the bracket while removing the bolt.

The Mugen intake set up will work on your EK4. Just as neo phase said you will have to take off your front bumper in order to get to the resonator box

^^ yeah, you can do it without removing the front bumper. BUT, i think it's much easier to remove it without the bumper.

^^^^^ yes, will fit EM1 as EK4 has exact same engine bay/motor.

That mugen intake kit does fit, have it in my sister's EK4 Vtir. Although the volume of air that the box can hold is very minimal as the pod takes up nearly all the inside space. Will prob make a custom top, the air direction duct is good though but got no openings in the front EK9 series 1 bumper:p
