hey all, i dunno if anyone has done this mod before, but i really like the 2005-2007 vtis front bumper but unfortunately i drive the earlier 02-04 model, mine being 2004. i can't find any info online about the conversion so my question is, does it fit?

hey i called up honda and they quoted $440 for the 05 part number (71101 SAET1022) bumper, $340 for the 06 (04711 SHA90022) and 07 (71101 SAEQ0022). Going by the part number, they are all different, i see that the 05 and 07 are very similar and they differ from the 05 by 100 bucks. I read the post posted by dreams and it mentioned that 05 is perfect fit (apart from the bottom fender - shuoldn;t be too much of a hassel) but is there a difference between 05,06 and 07 bumper kits? i can't spot the difference. has anyone done this conversion with a 06 or 07 bumper yet?

They are all the same. i believe two part # is to differentiate the JAP and THAI version. bare in mind when u ordering this bumper you only get just the bumper ( reffer by COVER ) bumper cover, in part terms.
you will need more than just a bumper to make a complete bumper

- CENTRE LOWER plastic GRILL - $150+
- PAIR SIDE LOWER GRILL -$20$ eac
- TOW HOOK CAP - $?
- TOP grill - just cuz your ones is 03 model, you cant use it. - $?

i misplace the price list, but yeah trade price for front bumper is about $260+, ask for that if you can.

other than that its not worth it, cost too much for individual to buy + paint too. another options is claim insurance if the excess is cheap for you. what you do with the car is entirely up to you. lol. I am pretty sure they can't source the 2 piece old VTI-s bumper new.

haha thnx alot dreams, it sure sounds like u ur self done a similar conversion, but what i'm trying to do is just get the bumper, get a jdm grill, for the honda grill, n use a mesh alternative for the lower front and side (x2) grills. with shaved foggies. IMO looks good. so preety much i'm lookng at 260 n tow cap. i'll diy a spray. price is preetty decent given i paid 120 for a mugen replica lip unpainted. but after a clean flush look now. i'll look into claim but will i be able to request an >05 bumper of a previous model (04)?

haha yea i've done my research. didnt ended up using the VTIs front in the end. my INGS+1 was better suited.
