Hi Guys,

My euro is suffering from scratches both fine and in the paint all around the car and was told it needed a good cut and polish.

Can anyone recommend a place in Melbourne who will do a professional job and restore it to its former glory?

I don't want to be taking it into the first place i see only to be overcharged for a second rate job.

Would appreciate any advise guys! Also what would i be looking at cost wise?

Thanks

Damian from Final Inspection. Other Euro owners and myself have been through him and have been very happy with his work. He is just the best for car detailing imo.

Theres a thread here of someone asking the same thing you are:

Speak to Damien or Elise.

One more rep for Damian (Final Inspection),
I'm from Sydney and he even flew here to detail a few cars on request.
Top bloke and very professional too.
Let us know how you go and post some before and after pics ;)

Judging from some of his forum comments - he really hates detailing Honda paint! Apparently, it's a real PITA.

I spoke to him and asked him about that and its not that at all. Because Honda and Subaru uses a different clear coat suited to the Japanese conditions being Very Cold and Humid during the summer months. And Because we live here in aus, the Coat becomes very soft and is quite delicate so it can scratch easy.

So i dont think thats the case... I've never heard of a detailer hating to detail cars....

It is, it's soft and easy to correct but its soft and easy to scratch also.

The problem with Honda clear coat is that it's soft and sticky. The buffer can catch and become harder to operate to achieve the same result with a single pass.
With usual euro/aussie paint, it may only require a stage 1, but Honda paint is harder to correct and it may require a stage 2 to correct the same amount of damage/swirls.

Here's a pic of my car after a detail from Damien.

if you take stage 5 yes it is 10k but you car has to be almost a rust bucket!....

If your car is new its most likly be a stage 1 but if its an older car with a few light scratches stage 2.

Stage 1.... $190
Stage 2.... $320
ect.

Just what I'm looking for. A stage 5 detail once a year. Which detail do most of you get? I would imagine the $180 or $320?

Yeah boys!

I had that gay paint protection from factory..
The worst thing I had spent money for ever...costed something like a grand...
This detailer can do paint protection for around $2-300 too.
