d16 issues:

car is really bumpy, doesnt drive smooth sometimes.
its liek the fuel is cutting out and the car stalls sometimes.

any idea wat it could be?
contaminated fuel ?

not sure exactly, but have you tried different petrol? i used to only go with bp 91 for teh cheap, then decided try try 95 and somehow noticed some improvements, like the car doesnt shake as much when idling.. but then i tried shell 95 and somehow noticed some performance gain O.O

not sure how

clearly the engine is running out of balance - that is , loose external part such as mount or loose/non-working spark plug lead etc.

Vacuum leaks? Distributor coil?

could these problems be linked to timing at all?

because i removed my dizzy and forgot to mark it

then had to kinda fiddle to get it 'kinda' right a few months back

shoudl get it timed

the actual timing gets adjusted even with a slight variation, u might want to ask the other guys in the xclusive_eg8's thread, he also had a dizzy problem.

I've never had any driving issues, even with the timing at either extreme on the distributor. I really doubt that timing is your issue here. Did you recently replace the distributor? Do you know if it's in good condition?

Do you have someone you can swap with to see if it cancels the problem? It's possible that it's the problem.
