has anybody tried supercharging a b18a1 i was thinking of using a toyota sc14 blower with the electric clutch setup and running an safc to trigger it much like if it were vtec any thoughts would be appreciated.

and yes i am fully aware of the abomination that this engine would be sharing a bit of honda and toyota dna to possibly make a big failure or a weapon haha.

Aren't the pulleys on the opposite side in the aw11? How do you run a belt for the SC12 and/or sc14?

Does anyone have actual experience with them? I've just heard that they suck.

sp33 u must be special ill talk slower I HAVE A SC14 ON A SR20

yes i have experience with both chargers yes they are mounted the otherway.

you can use the sc14 not the sc12 as the 4 can spin both ways where as the 12 cant

No need to be rude asshole, thanks for your opinion how it works in a Toyota, i could have googled that. Does anyone have any experience with them mated to a Honda engine?

EDIT: Did you type that slowly thinking that i'd read it slower? lol.

yeah i could run it all the time but i want to use the car as a daily driver so if i trigger it to come on a bit later might be a bit more economical when im drivin miss daisy if you know what i mean

The extra low down torque would probably help with fuel economy :)

ok for sp33 sr20 is a nissan motor not toyota,

i have runnin the fuel bigger injectors and a safc2, and the ecu has been changed to a u12 bluebird ecu cause they have a map that compensates timing for boost

Dude depending on the psi it probably will change a bit but not much. You will loose around 50km's to a tank.

50kms a tank for a shit load of fun (considering i built the car for fun) is a little compromise and i think thats pretty good still

the more fun you have the less economy you get.

You can mount the SC infront of the motor at the bottom using some brackets to replace the aircon, that way it will spin the correct way too in that position.

JR superchargers are cheap now due to the dollar being very good, before it was about 6K now its about 3K.

my HKS SC will is/will run constantly on the crx, its really not enough to bother me with a clutch etc..

yeh mikes right the advantage of toyota charger though is u can get a intercooler for it though. however the jrsc will pass emissions

SINISTR

yeah, thats also a big plus that you can install an intercooler with it... emissions testing is coming but not here yet.. you can get any car i think to make it. Just disconnect the belt as say its the aircon :P
