I swapped engine bout 5-6 months ago.

before then i took my guage off and the car boosted fine before the old engine blew.

so now i put the guage back on cause felt like the car was being funny.

the gauge shows that the car is not boosting at all.....

the needle moves really slowly and doesnt go past 0 to show that its boosting at all.

i kno the needle is supposed to move to 0 as sson as throttle is applied.

but the needle moves slowly to 0 while throttle is increased and doesnt go past it.

atm, i have 2 T pieces.

setup is liek this for the piping.

from the lil black thing on the firewall a T piece splits, one pipe into manifold, other has another T piece on it. one to gauge one to blow off.

HELPPP

sounds like u have a boost leak, check if there is any air coming out of the piping

mmmmm

any idea how id check that, traditionally id try n hear it but wid everythin being in d bay kinda hard.

OMG.JAI xD

Put a smoke machine into the car. Apply it into a vacuum source and the smoke will creep out of where ever its leaking from. For it to not be boosting at all means you have a major boost leak. Im surprised your car is running. A boost leak can also be (at most times) a vacuum leak.

Check your BOV is closing during throttle.

you should be able to hear it. try putting a pipe to your ear and just check different areas where it might leak

hmm ....

so noisy inside the bay ill try hte pipe thing.

gonna remove the bov and try.

mayeb the gauge is faulty..... :/

you'll know if there is no boost, should be pretty obvious

Spring tension on bov or check your vacuum lines.
Is it idling rough? Are you getting backfires on some gear changing?

Does your BOV blow off under acceleration then throttle off?

check the T peice and the lines, had the exact same thing 2 days ago on my R33 and after following it was one of the vac lines had a split in it on the underside couldnt see it from the top looking down fixed it up and its all good now!

the leek doesnt need to be that big. I've forgot to tighten on of the clamps on the IC piping on my s15 once and after the pressure cracked the seal i was getting like 1-2 psi max. But the thing is man you can here it. its pretty obvious if your leeking alot of pressure.

Also you could have a leek between your exhaust mani and turbo. If it leeks then it wont spool the turbo and wont also show pressure. But in this case also it will make a loud exhaust leak and thats also noticeable.

Just go over all of the clamps on ur IC piping make sure they are tight and sealed correctly. U can put soapy water around them and it will usually cause bubbles if they are leaking.

Also check all of your vac lines.

other than that it could be your bov.

last of all it will be your guage.

hmm yeah i just finsihed exams so im gonan get on it tomorrow.

changing front bar so get a chance to check everythign

the blowoff was sum dodgy one, and it never blew... ever. i think the spring was too tight for stock boost. so since i put it in. car always fluttered. still flutters liek normal.... btu i havent really thrashed it since i dont see the point wid no boost.

this is how the gauge acts:
car off :on -10
turn car on on -31
acceleration: travels to -20
flooring: travles to -10 really slowly.

car still flutters.

Well if it flutters, your making boost and your gauge is crap.

seems like you got the wrong sensor for your boost gauge or are u using that cheap trick where your not showing boost to the ECU and hijacking that signal?

Min normally say like -19/-20 on startup, driving is like -10, then goes to 10PSI!

mm my boost gauge is just connected to the ignition wire for illumination and then the pipe.

electric or manual? mine reads boost from the top of the intake manifold, built-in boost gauge in the eboost2

Fo55il

manual gauge.

comes off the manifold too.

manual gauge.

comes off the manifold too.

I had a mechanical guage stuff on me couple years ago. Thing wouldnt go past 2 psi and the needle with vibrate when it got there.

k so far i have taken off the piping, got the pipe going from the turbo to the intake
no bov
no nothing
getting same results

just wanna clarify on the gauge piping

i got it comin off the lil thing on the firewall then a T piece, oen to manifold one to gauge. this is right yeah ?

Not sure what you'r saying, but your gauge needs to be plumbed to the intake manifold somewhere. So obviously after the throttle body.

well wat im sayin is that. its connected to sum lil black thing on the firewall too. not sure what it is.

pictures say a 1000 words.. put some pics up

u can also spray some contact cleaner or start u bastard etc. around and if it picks up in rpm at idle then theres a leak round there
