removing melted plastic on exhaust

yea was wondering is there a good method of removing melted plastic on exhaust tips besides sitting there and scraping it off, don't wanna scratch the exhaust in the process :)

you have to soften it again by applying heat and then wipe it off using clean cloth.

You might try using a boiling water first. if it still doesn't come off, use lighter and heat them gently. hope that helps

correct... you can use boiling water or a hair drier... otherwise a plastic scraper might help too

Let it burn off naturally, then remove the tips and buff them up with a polishing wheel fitted to to a bench grinder, or, if you're not fortunate to have such a thing, try some chrome polish.

If the tips aren't getting hot enough on the car (to burn off the plastic), you could take them off and heat them with a blow torch.
