[B]need help Oil for 08 Accord VTI-L

Hi guys i'm new here. need help for my accord

my accord 20,000km service is due next month(dealer GWS Honda in melbourne). I heard that I can use my own oil instead of dealer's oil. is this allowed ? which one is the best oil for 8th gen Accord vti-l , I ve done research on internet . castrol edge 0w-40 or 5w-30, shell HELIX ULTRA 5W-40, mobil 1 0w-40 or 5w-30? has anyone done service with own oil? which is the best? thanks lot guys

Castrol Edge for me! 5w-30 at the 10k mark. Purchased my own Honda oil filter.
Runs very smoothly, feels better than the Honda oil and I've read lots of good reviews on this fully synthetic oil.

All of them are good oils. Better than the Magnatec stuff that many dealers use (10w-40)
