[CU2] Emission Smell

Hi all,

I have just recently bought my Accord Euro Luxury and down after the dealer's floor, I noticed that my exhaust emission "burnt" smell. It is as if something is being burnt.

Is that normal?? I don't think so cause all other cars do not have that smell. Even my friends said that it does smell weird.

I don't really know much into car, neither do I understand what is going on. Is it because of the type of fuel fed into the Euro or machine problem?? I don't really know the fuel type since that has been pre-filled by the dealer.

That's normal if it is a new car. You get a metal burning smell.

Quite likely just some underbody coating overspray burning off the exhaust system and will eventually go away. Just observe for a week or two, if it persists, bring it back to the dealer.

Maybe your present wasn't unwrapped properly and still had a bit of shipping wrap stuck to/near the exhaust system?

Like chrome said, wait for a few days and if symptoms still exists, please see your participating dealer. :)
