is it interfearance engine?

hi, i have a 85 honda civic as well, with the 1.5 single over head cam, single carby, now i need to find out, if these engines are interfearance engine, or clearance ones. ie if timining belt snaps will valves hit pistons? thanks for info

hi, well that is bad news so they are a interfereance engine, so damage to the valve's might have happen, reason i ask i just picked up a 85 civ, which had the timing belt snap, he replaced it, and has a miss. now i was not sure if he did it right. or night. will do a little more testing to check for valve hitment. and check the timing of valves. and will see how we go, it runs fine. apart for miss. but rev it a little and goes away. so yeah not sure, got the car for 200 and it very tidy little car. just this small head problem. but ok thanks for your help
