revs drop when fog lights are on

hey guys, ive got a 92 eg and when i put my fog lights on, my rpm drops maybe 200-300 rpm from a normal idle, any ideas why it does this? and what should i look at checking first?

note, ive cleaned my IACV, maybe i need to do it again? didnt clean it properly the first time?

i say you;ve wired it wrong. its claerly draining too much power

if he wired it wrong i guess the thing wouldn't turn on, cause it's a pretty straight forward wiring process, the brown plug where it plugs in the fuse box under the drivers dash, and earth the component and power source

Just draining power like if you have you highbeams on idle.

It's normal. If you want a less noticable drain you could probably refurbish your alternator by getting a new voltage regulator and brushes. Not worth the cost if your alternator is fine and you aren't doing it yourself though.
