I'd say no. I wouldn't pay more than 400 for an intake. There are some fujita ones on ebay for about 420 delivered. The reason is that you can get generic no name ones for less than 100 that seem to be almost identical.

Our Ebay Injen prices are to be revised within the next 48 hours, those are the old prices when $AUD was the lowest

Our actual sale price on Ozhonda is very close to US dealers with the exception of GST and taxes on top.

and yes Injen is Dyno Proven and 100% made in house in the USA, there's nothing funny about it.

i bought a HPS Cold air intake kit from ebay in Feb, and works beautifully, everything fits perfect and bolts down perfect, it came with a pod, but i will put a K+N on it when i reach 20,000 with it. it sounds awesome, im on P's and in Vic are real tight with the laws on power enhancements, i did this not realising the difference, At idle it sounds stock, cruise around under a 1/4 throttle and you wouldn't know, but anything past it gets a real drone, bit like a smoother WRX sound, i love it. Performance wise it does make a difference too, especially in VTEC from 5700 onwards :D :D :D

it arrived 3 days later amazingly with USPS!

btw it costed $220 incl shipping, if i remember correctly.

http://myworld.ebay.com/autogrimmig was the seller.

i can take some photos if you like, the kit comes with instructions, all the bolts and hoses, clamps and even a dyno sheet lol yippee

yo,
I just bought my INJEN CAI from heeltoe.com. just cost under $400 inc delivery. Shipping was heaps fast. 4days it took from USA. The seller s good because he keeps you updated with progress of ur purchase. INJEN is a screamer! highly recommend it, but then again people will object to it.

i bought this intake and i'll give you an honest opinion. The fitting is not 100% perfect. You will need to make 1 adjustment. This will need to be shorten by about 3 to 4 cm for a good fit, a cheap hack saw will easily do the job. Apart from that, everything else is fine! The Pod that came with it, sounds really good and after a bit of testing i found that it has good top end from 3.5k rpm it will start to growl and will continue to do so right up to red line. But i found that instant acceleration is delayed and low end is not as responsive as i liked. Too much noise, a bit too much attention. So i purchased a Apexi pod for about $100 its smaller, but damn its good.. the lower end power is back and it has a much more solid growl. Overall very happy with this generic cai purchase. I would love to test this out side by side with people that has the more expensive CAI, would be interesting to see if there is much difference between a $500 to a $200 cai.

good luck.

You know what... i think i will have a drag with my friends stock euro first. I wouldn't be surprise if the I lose... imagine that.. wouldn't that be a kick in the nuts.. spend all that money and time ripping out the stock intake to detune the the car..

I had my injen in short mode, I liked it better. I dont like delayed pedal feel.
Try driving with it in long mode up a hill, you'll be screaming and going nowhere.
I get the feeling the 90 degree bend adds to the length of the pipe further dullying the response of the car over the injen.
Btw rain does get in the guards, and yes your filter will be wet, but it not going to do much. But you can get a K&N prefilter thing which will stop it from getting wet.

When u changed the to the Apexi pod, did u lose high end power? i'm quite interested in this as i too have felt the low end power loss. Otherwise its awesome. Thanks

I really didn't know what to expect when i bought the apexi pod, i bought it purely cos its a popular branded intake pod in japan, thought i would try something different oppose to the mainstream k&n.. this apexi pod was about a quarter size smaller then the pod that came with my generic cai. immediately i felt that the air intake had that pressure again, if you know what i mean.. the low end definately pickup up and the top end was very good but not as lively as the bigger pod. But overall honestly i think the apexi for me was a great choice. For me the first couple of weeks, its very tempting to rev it and hear it roar with the bigger pod, but after one week you're kind over it and you will miss the low end kick cos honestly unless you drive like a mad man 24/7 and have unlimited points on your license. On take off with the bigger pod the delay pi$$ed me off big time. anyway i'm not dissing the bigger pod, but for me the smaller apexi pod worked better for my type of driving.

^^ did you installed the apexi as short ram setup or cai setup? (short or long pipe)

ended up buying the fujita as it ended up being 100$ cheaper than the injen, and after reading some reviews looks like quite alot of people like the fuijita more anyway. i found this discussion witch i found very useful
