Hey guys,

I'm looking for a budget exhaust setup for my '94 EH Civic VTi. It's my daily so I'm just after some fun & a little power boost.

For example, the N*Power cat (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2-25-HONDA-CIVIC-EG-EK-CRX-RACE-CAT-TEST-PIPE-DYNO_W0QQitemZ200354773770QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Ca r_Parts_Accessories?hash=item2ea6133b0a&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14) and Options cat-back (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/CATBACK-MUFFLER-EXHAUST-FOR-92-00-HONDA-CIVIC-D16-SOHC_W0QQitemZ370273431917QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Ca r_Parts_Accessories?hash=item563604316d&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14) for the coupe/sedan civic is 2.25" which I think is the perfect size.

In this instance do you think it would be a worthy investment? Remembering that I want a budget setup but hopefully without compromising quality too much. If they're clearly way below standards I wouldn't buy them as I'd rather pay more money for more quality.
I would happily buy 2nd hand parts but haven't found sellers through my WTB or in the FS sections :(

Any advice? Ta,
Andy :)

Yeah I'd prefer 2". My headers are 2" :)

Hey mate,

I asked the question earlier and with the help of some of the guys I've gathered that the best way to go is to get a custom system, consisting of a high flow cat, 2" mandrel bent system with resonator and a muffler of your choice.

I bought a pair of 2" 4-2-1 Flowtech headers. They were $199 for sale locally, brand new. Mandrel bent and ceramic coated.

I'd never heard of them and thought they might be one of those shitty random ebay brands, so I did a little research and found out they were US made. So I jumped on www.clubcivic.com and asked what they think.
They said that Flowtech is a sister company of a company called Holley, who are a very well known top-end brand for muscle car products. So I knew the quality was most likely very good.
Another bloke said that he'd used them previously and they looked/performed great.
A third guy said that stock D16Y1 headers are so shit you could attach anything for better performance lol.
