View Full Version : Manual to Auto Possible ?

Hi guys,

Just want to know I have a 1995 EG 3 door Breeze its carb not injected, its Manual and I need to convert it to Auto as the person that wants the car can only drive Auto

can it be done ? and what is needed

reason why I ask is I never see a Single carb EG in auto only the dual

fuk that that's a messy job.

Buy another one - an EG Breeze would be like.. 3k. TH econversion would cost similarly, and mess up your car a bit

See if you can get them to learn auto (assuming it's physically possible etc.) otherwise don't bother. You'll need to pay a lot of labour to get transmission work done on a front wheel drive car and I don't think a conversion will come cheap.

Probably best to sell it and get another one :)

Teach them manual, once you got the hang of it, should be easy :)

Seriously, i can't understand why you want to do this. It's a complete waste of time and money (even if labour is free, you need to buy a gear box).

Sell the manual and buy an auto, unless you wanna piss money down the drain, be my guest.

I don't mean to offend you but i would advise you to heed my advice.

Again its free I have a auto from a GLI or a VTI complete car I just need to know if its possible,

i want to do this because i sold the car for a lot more than its worth and it needs to be auto for it to be sold

not offened just want to know is it possible is it so hard for anyone to answer that question. thats all i want to know and is it just bolt in job ?

Message bennjamin and ask him if you're in Sydney, I believe it shouldn't be too bad of a job.

Defeats me why you'd do it but your choice.

1. box
2. possibly driveshafts
3. ecu
4. interior panels for around shifter
5. pedal assembly
6. shifter assembly

theres $1500 right there.... add fluids, seals etc...

He pretty much has 2 spare gearboxes and stuff - as above
