View Full Version : B16A2 Radiator Hoses fitment on a D16A8

Hi all,

Just a quick question about fitment of those aftermarket radiator hoses that is so readily available for the B-series.

I have a Civic Si with a D16A8 motor in it and was thinking of upgrading the radiator as this old junk is starting to piss itself from the plastic top tank.

Will a radiator from the B-series fit onto the OEM hoses on the civic Si ? I've heard they are couple of mm's wider (32mm as compared to 28mm).

If this is the case, will a set of B-series hoses fit onto the D16A8 engine?

your wise comments are all appreciated.

that's y my question is just very simple...

Are the radiator hoses from a B16A2 the same as an D16A8? In terms of fitment and length? How about width of the hoses themselves?

can't U get a D16A8 hoses?
anyway, I don't see a problem why it will not fit... U can make it fit!
However, a D16A8 hose in a B16A2 is not advisable.

I am going to run an aftermarket radiator that is meant for B16A2 in my current D16A8.. hence i am thinking of using back the current D16A8 radiator hoses on it and wondering if it fits the new radiator that is meant for a B16A2.

So just need advises from u gurus out there if this might work out..

bend's are different as far as i know

but only being a few mm off i'm sure you can coax it to fit eventually

I think some are 32mm width and some are 28mm.

you will need to improvise.

yeah i got this on my d16a8, the bseries hose is a little wider, but you can just clamp the hell out of it.
just use the expensive clamps, hasn't failed yet and im running a turbo too.
