Black smoke+soot at start

Hi all,

I have abit of a problem. Well, I recently purchased my eg 1.5 twin carby.

It had not been driven for about 4 months and was just lying around in a blokes backyard, and I have only driven it 2 times from when I got it.

Anyway, when I start her up in the morning she gives some black smoke and spits some black soot.

Any ideas?

I would say thats pretty normal for a car thats been sitting around, give it a bit of time to blow it all out..

dont forget to service the car also.. prob change the plugs while ur at it

I will be servicing it myself tommorow, changing oil and plugs.

What oil do you guys use?

Changed oil and plugs today, she is running clean.
