YEA....i am the poor guy got hi-jack in adelaide...
long story cut short, a guy drove my SKYLINE 34 out of my house carpark in front of me (i was just going to close the garage gate, the guy jumped in and drove my car and gone),
\
it looked like this before
http://www.adelaidebbs.com/bbs/attachments/month_0910/09100105354fda450c3d4b198c.jpg
police do no shit for me not even stop my car when they saw it hang with my old plate in the boot (old one is CC128D, New one is SKY006)
tonite i saw my car in cross rd/goodwood rd mcdonald, the whole car respary in kind of dark blue and with 19inch chrome....... i 100% sure it is my car because it got a sctach at the back and it still there but painted..... police advised they can not chase up to their house and check.....
if anyone saw a skyline with unusual dark blue with 19inch chrome, please let me know..... what i can do now, i was told the car had been hilton and south rd.... so i believed they hang out in city surround.
kind of depress now......please please if anyone know about it, any information, please please please let me know....will be awarded if anyone can help me get back the car.....

You saw it parked and you did nothing? Dont you have spare keys you can use to take it back? and how is it possible they are driving around with it still?
altong0840

police replied as i had no right to ask to check or even get in people house to inspect the car, unless the plate showed is my plate number, and my phone left in the car and the police said car rob is small peice of SXXX, it is not worth to use that kind of technology to check where the last location the car was

cant you advise police that you were involved in a car accident with this car and the owner drove off and you just want to get in contact with the person and have the matter settled.
would they issue you any information if you did this?

i think the police would have pulled them over if they knew it was stolen. i dont think there is much you can do, if your car is being driven around i think a number job has been done to it.

If you're 100% sure its your car then why do you need to check/inspect? Just tell the police you have located your stolen vehicle which is still in the possession of the thieves.
Also, try calling your mobile company and see if they can trace the number if the phone has been used recently. Or notify your insurance company, they'd be more proactive in retrieving your car if it means they'll save money. If you see your car again, take a teaspoon of cement and face them. The moment someone gets hurt, the police will definitely do something about it.
The guy who jumped into your car a drove off while you were closing the garage gate must have been camping you 24/7 for awhile. Did you notice any suspicion in people following you home etc? or unusual cars parked around your street with people in em?

Really sucks man.
have you properly reported it as stolen? I can't understand why you didn't do anything when you were sure it was your car at maccas? At the very least you could have slashed two of the tires or let them down then called the cops. If you'd correctly lodged it as stolen they should have come to inspect it. Better paying a few hundred for new tires then never seeing it again. Have you actually gone into a police station and lodged it or did you just call and mention it over the phone?
I've called the local station a couple times simply to report idiots throwing rocks or causing issues out front of my house. 5minutes later they were there. I can't believe they wouldn't come inspect your vehicle at a car park if you'd reported it stolen??
A work mate had his Skyline stolen from Surry hills it turned up a couple days later in Blue mountains but the police called right away.

sorry to hear that man. Which cop station did u report it to?? I'm sure there must be something you could do. As you said it was resprayed, maybe ask around places who do resprays (unless it was a backyard job). i don't think there's many in Adelaide. Adelaide's a small place so I'm sure you'll be able to find something out. Do a bit of detective work and get ur friends to ask around. And like above, totally agree with MrJohn.

Speak to somebody higher up, don't walk up to a constable if you don't think you are going to get anywhere they are usually at the bottom of the ladder new to the job. Seriously its not that hard, go to the guys that deal with that sort of stuff not the first constable at the counter. But seriously, you let some jump in your car, and drive then you saw your car again and did nothing about it? I still dont see how some guy managed to jump in your car and just drive of while you were of closing the garage door? Wouldn't that mean that the car was parked in the garage? Where were the keys? Why didnt you take them out of the ignition, since you were closing the garage gate that would mean that the car was parked in the garage?

think he meant he reversed the car out from the garage and then got out to close the door before driving off... this is when the other guy jumped in instead of him self and took off

I'm sure someone would know something. How did you ask them? Chances are they mite know that the vehicle was stolen if they're mates with them. Make it up, say ur an amatuer photographer, wanna build ur portfolio or watever and wanna focus on the jap specs and ask they've done anything recent etc?? Have u tried asking VIP customs at Gilles Plains?? How long ago was this stolen?

agreed. the police cannot refuse to accept your report that your car is stolen.
if you are absolutely at a dead end, I would consider paying for some help from a private investigator, perhaps.
is the car still in your name in terms of registration? if it is, then you have a 'claim of right' and you can take reasonable measures to recover your property.
I'm certainly not advocating the idea of beating the hell out of this person/these people, but, if it was my car, I would try and track down the address of the owner and obtain the keys. I would probably take some friends as witnesses just to make sure things didnt get out of hand.
I'd then sell that particular car as quickly as possible, and get quicktrak on my next car, even though it aint cheap.

if your speeding or doing burnouts they will come knocking on your door but as soon as there is a real problem they say bad luck??

Sh!t... thats bad...
I won't recommend you to go physical on them c*nts though coz you might not be able to handle whats the concequences after.
*If that was NOT your car at all but you just assumed it was. Then I think you will be hit harder than you wanted to hit them.
*If it was your car and being driven around like nothing happen. I would keep pursuing the COPS and maybe even FK them for ignoring you rather than going after the thieves. This is for your own safety.
You would'nt want to put yourself on their level as you maybe are a hard working person or maybe more better off and settled than those c*nts but surely dont give up on the matter as no one should be stealing shits and walking around happy chappy leaving one person with intending to kill some1 =).
Now story to be told, my mate had his Rims stolen by shifty neighbours next street down. He knew it was his so he pretended to buy the wheels and confront them. Fight broke out* didnt get the wheels and the same night those people was outside his place waiting to fK him over. Anyways he got the rims back as it was a small world for him that people know people that knew those people. This was only for a $600 dollar worth of item, but the only reason was, some1 had stolen shit from him and he wont accept it.
Another story i told here was EBAY d!ckin (got removed by Mods which was the guys friend who is a member here.... the guy gave me a bad feedback for item he didnt pay for. I mean i was fkin pissD* but yeh we worked it out. He said he advised ebay to take em off.. 2 months later still nothing happened. Bad feedback was still there, all you need is patience I'm sure you will get your car back through legalities and im sure ill get my bad feed back removed. =)
Good luck with your car mate....

Please note: dont FK the COPS....what i mean is let em know what you want to happen and it's not fair.
They might just be as busy as they always say they are. even though you see them at Donut King or Seven 11, checking out chiks

Police work mostly for insurance companies - that is they fill out the correct forms and do all the hard yards of research to make sure a claim is correct and that the guilty party/ies (if relevant) are traceable and accountable. I saw make em work for you.
That is....GET INSURANCE.

Honestly the chances that they had it resprayed at a legal shop is pretty slim. if they had the guts to take it right in front of him i'm sure they were prepared with a "spray booth" i mean whats it take it spray a car? Back at my parents place we have a air compressor + spray gun + garage... Even I could spray a dodgy coat over night. Like he said he could still see a scratch in the boot just sprayed over. Not hard

I duno what I would do in your situation, its pretty tough man since police arent doing shit..
Try and go on a private investigation..take all the time you need to find out where this skyline with numberplates SKY006 is..once you find where the owner lives and parks the car. Try and do everything in a legal way...cos its the best way.
but i would probably end up breaking his legs and putting him in a coma and take my keys back

If the cops don't do nothing, if you see it again follow it and round up your boys and give that person the same pain they have caused you.Well that's what i would do. Hopefully all goes well and they get what they deserve.
