Hey guys next year im planning to do a engine conversion in my 95' eg civic i was wondering if it was possible to put a s2000 engine in it, and has anyone heard of this type of conversion? I was thinking of putting a k20a into it but the s2000's pull out my kw's so im going for that. Also if someone has done this conversion how much roughly would it cost.
Thanks in advanced

it's been done, it's bloody expensive (thousands, tens of thousands, unless you're in the United States where these engines are a dime a dozen like the custom one off parts needed to install them), I also have a few pics from the last time it was brought up as I cbf'd searching for them... lol
both fwd and rwd options in an eg, enjoy :)

mate you what have to chaneg the drivetrain, s2000 rear wheel and k20 front wheel drive alot of work to convert it k20 would be cheaper and easier

The engine isn't rear wheel drive, he's not swapping the drivetrain.
Really though, just get a k20 if you want more power.

x2 k20, then if that's not enough, boost the bastard
or just buy a 2nd hand porsche or new cbr motorbike

it's possible with enough money, like most things
i think the real question you want to be asking is 'is the s2000 engine a direct fit into the mounting points of the engine bay of an eg'. i think the answer is no, it doesn't, therefore a conversion is very very expensive

Buy an S2000? lol
From what these guys are saying your best off selling your car and save an extra few grand and buy an S2K.
or do the k20 conversion, im sure it would provide a substantial kick compared to whats sitting in your engine bay at the moment. You could probably substantially work the engine and still not be at the cost of putting in a stock S2K engine.
Have you checked out the price of the Engine anyway? im looking and seeing 8 to 12k for a front cut!

with the money your gonna spend to do the conversion, you could mod the k20 to be faster.

thanks for the responses, just thought it would be unique but if i could just get a k20 mod it and be faster then ill probably do that.
Thanks again
