another suspension question..

im contemplating of buying a set of height adjustable coilovers for the main purpose of getting rid of the ugly 3 finger and 2 finger gaps on the front and rear respectively.

if i was to get done by the boys in blue and receive a minor defect, my understanding is i would need to fix the cause of defect and head to vicroads to get it checked and cleared.

in this case would i be able to simply re-adjust the height of the coils so it passes the legal clearance, or would i need to change it back to stock setup?

how does it differ with major defects which requires RWC?

thanks guys

if you adjust it to get defect cleared then lower it again, i suggest getting another wheel allignment as it might be out once you relower it

if the defect for the car to low then yes from what i know you can just raise it and when you pass just lower it again. easy as 1.2.3

depends if you get done for the height or "stiffness". i read earlier this year, someone from here got done for having too stiff a setup that it was deemed unsafe on the roads.

if its for the height, i'd assume you'd only have to raise it back to a reasonable height. if it's too stiff, then you might have to change the whole setup to make it legal as most coilovers have a very high spring rate in comparison to the standard shock/spring set up.
