Does anyone know how much it will cost to get the mp3 player for the euro accord, I had no idea it was an option to get it. I'll probably go to the dealer and get quote and get it installed I'm sick of burning so many cd's with very few songs
does anyone here with a euro choose the mp3 playable extra?
how much was it?
please dont move to Audio/Video

Well i suppose they justify by saying its all intergrated and stuff. If i had the money (and the car for that matter) i would try and keep her stock/stealth lookin.

the mp3 player looks hella ugly though. definately not worth the money. I wouldnt be surprised if the 05 Accord Euro plays MP3s standard. The new CRV and Integra has it so who knows?
yeh the do offer a sat nav comp thingi. its 2500 dollars. Pretty expensive huh

I think you are better off getting a subwoofer or two hooked up for the money.
Or just go a full sound system! This is the last of things to do on my list. I think it is alright for OEM. Bass distorts too much when you start to crank it but alright.
It is a shame that the sound system is intergrated with the airconditioning controls but I think if you were keen enough, you could get the center dash bit from another euro and adapt it so to keep airconditioning controls but replace the headunit / cd stacker. It would be a huge job but at least it would be very unique. I think you would have to get the headunit laser cut out to replace it properly.
At present, people just put aftermarket headunits in the console where honda put the cassette / mp3 player options that I don't think anyone has got.

you can get the same thing for much cheaper even from Dick Smiths stores.
I bet they'll be even cheaper from car audio stores.
Yet, on that brochure, they claim that it's a special offer for Honda owners.
What a load of bull.

I was gonna get one but ended up hooking up a bluetooth GPS receiver to my IPAQ and using that instead. Same result, cheaper price.

You should just order the bracket for the MP3 player and install an aftermarket head unit which fit into the bracket. It will sound heaps better than the standard HU + the added bonus of MP3

The accessories manager (or what ever the &%^* he is called) at my dealership said that I couldn't get one. I know I can, but haven't bothered chasing one up. The double din one is the one that I want.

The bracket comes with a face plate to cover the exposed area (used to be the compartment under the temperature control nobs. Got mine for $90, apart from being expensive, makes my HU look like it comes standard with the car.

Hi there, I'm a newbie here and am considering buying a Euro.
I wanna make sure the Euro can fit an aftermarket MP3 player before I place an order. Got any pics so I know how I can do it?

It looks just fine where it is Tim! *feeling jelous again, bastard!*
How much for the stinger kit if you don't mind? Did you get it your self from USA or your fine stereo shop in Perth?

It looks wonderful!!
Really want one when I get a Euro early next year. Need to sell the Passat I have now.
Do you mind if I ask where you get the stinger kit? Is it difficult to install? I am worried about the aux in. Do you need a special kit to wire it up?
