G'day Guys
Please could someone advise me on how to switch off the beeping
once the key is placed in the ignition.
The noise has now become tiresome and to me serves no purpose
Thanks for your patience

Sorry bud, but that is inbuilt into the car. It shits me off too.
Interestingly, Clarkson complained about the beeping when he reviewed the new civic type r on top gear.

Seems to be a common trend in cars these days and highly annoying.

Not really a good thing to do because it drains the battery. Lead/calcium-acid batteries reach end of life very quickly if they are discharged below 40% capacity.

I think the OP is talking about the "Please take your key with you" beep when you leave your key in the ignition and open the door.

LOL why do I keep on thinking "once the key is placed in the ignition" as if the OP just enter the car? :)

Agreed, but would this occur after 20-30mins of usage?
Not something I would do for long durations.
