I'm looking into getting a set of cams but have no idea whats what about them at all.

I have Gruppem intake, Toda header, exhaust and RBC as bolt ons and the hondata K100.

I have an oportunity to get a used set of Toda Spec C's with cam gears and valve springs for just under $1000. Will this be the next step to take to get more out of the k20? Would I need any other parts to support the cams? valves etc?

Thanks for your help.

Spec c's will work great with the mods you currently have. I gained as much as 16kwatw in the mid range when I fitted mine :)

Nepolian, is there anything else that I would need to install? like a stronger timing chain tensioner? Do I need the intake cam gear or even the exhaust cam gear?

Heavy duty tensioner would be advisable. Cam gears would be based on how your tuner wants to run the car. I'm not running them!

Are there any other supporting mods that I need to do to make these cams work more efficiently?, Titanium valves?

Hybrid racing have produced a chain tensioner that seems very robust. not sure about its real life performance or reliability.

don't lego build (http://www.team-integra.net/forum/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=10&TopicID=30683)...?

By the way, can different brand of cams, valve spring, retainers be used together?
Eg. Toda cams with BuddyClub valve spring?

yea i was kinda shocked when they announced the price.
but then again, what other tensioner has teeth on both side? hahah.

the benefit seems obvious to me. it looks like it's able to subject to more stress, but again i'm still not too sure whether they actually work nor their longevity.
many cammed k20 or k24 in the us seems to have failed their tensioner when upgrading to high lift cams.

evans tuning (http://forums.evans-tuning.com/viewforum.php?f=28) would give a rough prediction?
