my 95vtir dials reads redline startin at 6500 rpm n goes up2 rnd 8400 .. n it seems low for a vtir...
arent it suppose to start at 7200.. ive got a h22a1 for sure but jus curious about dis ..

wats are ur redlines start at..(vtirs) ?

mines 7400, i think cant remeber but it isnt 6500

vti-r should be around 7,200..........around the same as my civic Si

how can i tell if its a genuine vtir or not ?

argh im stressed out!!

just look at the motor, if its got vtec writen on it its a vtir.. maybe someone changed your guage to an si? i just looked at mine and its either 7200 or 7400

why would d previous owner do that?

wat characteristics does the vtir have which the si doesnt other dan engine?
like difference in interior or exterior ? dun tell me things like stickers plz...
i wana be sure its not a half cut or something.. =\

maybe to lower the Ks??? mian diff i guess is the engine, the guage cluster is illuminated.. check on www.PreludeAustralia.com, i guess You've just found out why your car is relitively cheap

1 is for number of door and transmission type
variations can be
1..............2 door 5 speed manual transmission
2..............2 door 4 speed automatic transmission

4 is the grade
variations are

0 is fixed code

0C0 is model year and factory code where C stands for factory code which is SAITAMA plant in japan and the varaitions for the 0 before and after are
00.......1992
01.......1993,1994(BB1)
02.......1994, 1995( BB1)

and the rest 00001 is the consecutive unit number.

mayb my dials been touched tho ... hrm..

but i went thru mechanical checks n engine is in sweet condition.. so dats d main thing... igues

man.. i wished i had a digital camera right now to shut you up haha..
i guess the way to check if the ks are genuwine is to look at your service log book and look where it has been serviced.. also the dates then ring then the place up to see if they have actually serviced it.. they usually have the record somwhere...

well i think what happened was the guy probly would of had high Ks on the old dials so he changed them.. and maybe he couldnt get the origianl vtir ones or too expensive so he got si ones, if you saw another one with the same dials then its another dodgy basterd selling it.. with si dials... i guess atleast your lucky the engine and shit cheaked out ok.. if it was me i would go and **** him up, dodgy dickhead.
