Sorry for the stupid question guys,
But just wondering if a set of 1995 DC2 VTi-R Struts (shocks and springs) will fit onto a 1994 GSi DC4?? Mine are absolutely hammered and have found a cheap set of VTi-R ones.
Any info would be greatly apprciated!

lol no.. it should be fine to swap over, your talking bout the whole strut tower yeah?
Yeah man,
or i was just thinking of getting some new shocks and some king springs super lows instead. Ive got 18's on it at the moment so i dont wanna go too low that it will scrap when full lock. King Springs Ultra lows are tempting haha.

King Springs = Epic handling fail.
They are low, soft and squishy. Like riding in a waterbed.
You can do better than that.

Or Tanabe.
Kings are for street cruising poseurs on the pull. Quite useless for real performance driving, if you ever intend for that.
Everytime somebody mentions Kings to me I want to LOL.
No worries, cheers for that man, i appreciate everyones help.
Has anyone had any experience with D2 products?? Heres an example-

Check these out and give me your thoughts! Also do you have to pay import tax's and shit if you buy stuff off ebay from the US?? With the dollar being so strong at the moment, stuff is getting pretty cheap.

The first , are just replacement shocks and springs. they will require parts off your STANDARD shocks ( the upper mounts etc) Look ok for the price.
The second , are adjustable "coilovers" type and are a all in one unit ready to install.
Remember , you need to add atleast $150+ AU ontop for shipping.
IMO , you are better off getting some new or 2nd hand shocks locally ( such as KONI YELLOW etc. And then get some springs to suit such as EIBACH SPORTLINES etc.
Oh ok cool,
Do you know which parts exactly i would have to swap over from my old shocks??
Is it pretty straight forward to swap the parts over?
The main reason why i was looking at this setup is because i have been quoted in Aus $130 each for KYB replacement shocks and another $250 for lowered springs. So thats $770 for the whole lot where i could source from the US and get a better quality setup for the same price if not cheaper. Thats my opinion anyway. Im not really in any need for Coilovers as i do absolutely no track work whats so ever just more of a daily driver to work. Thats why i thought a shock/spring combination would be better for comfort, South Aus legal requirements (Engineers report needed for Coilovers, CBF gettin defected) and also abviously cheaper.
Cheers
Skunk2 lowered springs and sport shocks should be arriving on Monday, i will let you's know how i go once i install them, also i'll post a pic so ppl can see the ride height. Bear in mind i will be putting my old 18'' chromies on. Chromies are not my cup of tea anymore since i bought them about 3 years ago but i had them lying in the shed so i thought i would smack em back on again for the future sale of my car.
CHEERS!
