Seatbelt issues in my BB6

Its been a few weeks since i have this problem. The seatbelt on the front passenger side is jammed so i went to a honda dealership in bentleigh and get their verdict after being told to go there by my local mechanic. They didnt want to do it themselves coz they fear they might accidentally trigger the airbags or something. Anyway when i went to the dealership and got their side, they told me it might be the wheel motor or something which wont extend the seat belt.

Anyway im wondering whether fixing the seat belt would trigger the airbags ( as going with my local mechanic) and whether i could find a place to source out spare seatbelt parts

as long as the battery is disconnected the airbags wont trigger, i thought a mechanic would of know this.

nah he told me that airbags might trigger otherwise.
he was afraid to do it otherwise, which is why i went to a honda service/dealership and get their word instead
