Hey guys
just doing a conversion in my mates civic
but can't take the flywheel off!!
We tried with the breaker bar but can't seem to budge
what's the best way to take it off cheers

Have you tried air tools? Have you chocked the flywheel so it can't rotate?

1. Lock the flywheel from the CRANK - with ratchet+socket , and a long bar or similar.
2. get a 17mm MULTI HEX (12 sided NOT 6 sided) shallow socket.
3. Use a breaker bar and said 17mm socket and the bolts holding the flywheel will crack then come off easily.


OTherwise....use a impact gun (pneumatic or electric) with atleast 200NM power rating and it will be a doddle.

impact gun works a treat wouldnt live without one :) ha ha other wise try some of that freeze in a can gear works pretty well with a breaker bar, try making the bar longer with a bit of pipe on the end off it more leverage and it will crack straight off :)
