hey guys
I'm just wondering the viability of running a twin exhaust on my 96 civic coupe. Its currently running a single exhaust on a 2 inch pipe. How much u reckon it'd cost to get that knid of work done? will i lose power or make a better noise?

.... Is this purely an exercise in vanity? Or do you aim to gain more power from your Civic?

You could always do an equally as ghey thing and setup a dummy muffler.

After all, I've seen a row of over 5 mufflers on an Integra........ *sigh*

a little from column a, and a little from column b. I want the extra power that comes with havning a better exhaust, but i dont want to go the same way as everyone else and strap on a cannon. I thought having a twin exhaust would be different, and probably better.

i think as long as your piping don't split too early, it's fine...it also depends whether u have twin muffler or single muffler, twin exit

well there's currently an exhaust at the back so i would probably exhaust the other side as well, to make sure there's the same sort of noise coming from each. How much do u reckon work like this would cost?

Or u can run twin tips one to each end of the car through one muffler with dual outlet....

well,..I guess if you just want the muffler,..with twin outlet, ...around 400-500 custom. If you want catback.....you looking at around 700-800 mark...

damn, well i put it up on a hoist and had a look myself, and had a quiet word to a mechanic, and he reckons that running the twin will interrupt the fuel system or something (as the second pipe would be running next to the fuel pipes) so i dont think i will bother any more :( pity, it would have looked fairly good.
