Which Heat unit? [Archive]

Hey guys,

Shopping about for a new head unit for my ek. Probably going to run the rears off the head unit and have the fronts and sub hooked up to the amp.

DVD player is a bonus and as much sound adjustment as possible. Single DIN will be fine.

Any ideas out there as to whats bang for buck? Alpine? Pioneer? Kenwood etc.

a budget would help.

but out those 3, id go with an alpine

i have a pioner top of range single din cd/mp3/iPod player.

They are GREAT and better than the Alpine range which around 50% more expensive.

Looking at 3 pre-outs for fronts preferably. DVD support is good, aux and usb is a definite. Also would like some degree of sound control for flexibility. I've seen my mates head unit and he has crossover adjustment but that might be a bit much to me, as long as I can tune it to give something good.
