my drivers side speaker stuffed up and i need to get new ones .. can please recommend me good coaxial speakers that will fit into the standard speaker holder without interfering with window operation. I dont mind cuttin the speaker holder at back a lil to fit depth.

i know splits n stuff prob better to go etc but im quite happy with the coaxial i have atm except 1 is stuffed so i thought i may aswell get something better of the same size etc.

thanks

wtf

i thought you recently just got brand new type r's ones.. they stuffed up on ya already?!

take em back to where you got em, they should be under warranty

and instead of cutting the plastic holders, itll be better to get mdf spacers made. they wont cost too much either

catcha mr isso

haha nah arvin, the Type r speakers i havent gotten yet cos i read up somewhere they dont fit properly cos of depth and when move them out they dun bolt up nicely n arent secure or something ..

budget to be honest i dun realli mind, seeing as my car only has 2 speakers i dont mind spending a good amount of money (well i mean, 1.2k is overboard but 300-500 i dont mind)

Check out these babies: http://www.shoppingsecure.com.au/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=33

Check the mounting depth and make sure they're appropriate but those will offer plenty of bass and plenty of clarity.

Theres also these: http://www.shoppingsecure.com.au/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=52

Those are splits which can be mounted as coaxials. Brilliant concept but I need to check whether or not I can order another one in as the models have recently changed. Once again check the mounting depth and let me know whether or not it will fit.

Either of those will provide excellent clarity and plenty of midbass.

ah ic thanks, altho goin by a guide Alpine Type R's 6.5 coaxial are too deep for my doors, and will need precise measuring of that wood spacer stuff, to fit so it doesnt hit window or my door trim ... altho if it realli came down to it i would go to that effort but if can get easier then i would go easy lol

If you want something easier to mount you can also look at these: http://www.shoppingsecure.com.au/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=54

They are splits though.

Also for your reference the first link I gave you which is for the AD6CX fits in WRX and CJ Lancer doors if that helps at all.

Why not try the a/d/s split set. They are better than Alpine TypeR. I am very happy with them and it is for sale now :)

Check my sig.

First link I posted for you would be the most appropriate then. Would offer a nice improvement in sound quality as well. Do you have the measurements required or did you need me to hunt those for you?

i think anything above 2.5" in depth is too deep and will need spacer to fit but then not sure if will hit door trim etc.

Thats for the splits which are more popular since this is a sound quality orientated speaker. The coaxial is a very similar speaker but it uses a smaller crossover network which is integrated into the speaker rather than the separate box. They also have a bit more mid-bass to them when compared with the splits. When it comes down to quality of sound you will find it very difficult to find something which offers a level of clarity and detail when compared to these. Build quality would also be hard to top since they are handmade in Italy.

Are you planning to amplify these? They sound great off the head unit since they are very sensitive but they sound even better off an amplifier.

Honda S2000 gota small body, if u gota subwoofer it sounds mad but u cant here music.. your gonna need treble..

Go for a 3-WAY 6" Speaker
SONY XPLOD

SONY XPLOD speakers.. are FLAT FRONT BASE they fit anywhere.. (the tweeter dome doesnt stick out of the speaker) which allows any cover to go over it. and dont let people tell u sony's are shit .. coz honestly u get wat u pay for buy the $50 one its shit buy the $150 one its the best..

if what your having trouble with is the magnet at the back not going in all the way then go for a PIONEER (im not sure what model but.. theres a model with the thinest.. magnet just goto a shop and ask for a PIONEER With a thin magnet they'll know straight away)
