I was wondering what is the normal delivery time for a honda civic? I bought one 40th anniversary edition of civic but its been almost 2 weeks since the estimated arrival time but the dealer kept saying he has no idea and honda is holding the car .:(

so many factors determine this. be aware and take note of what exactly the saleman says.
Do they have it in dealer stock?
or is it at the port awaiting bonds and custom licensing?
do they really have the colour you want or are they trying to swap stock with another dealer to get you your preferred colour?
With the 40th Anniversary Edition, im not sure of the current situation in the eastern states however here in WA unfortunately we have pretty much run out of all the extra accessories Australia Wide which make the civic the 40th anniversary. Sensors, fog lights etc etc. Definately run out of the 40th Anniversary Edition Badges.
So be sure that they even sold you a 40th anni civic because they scarse.

I went for the 40th anne edition but unfortuneatly the manager at the dealer told me there are working on it and honda has ran out of the 40th anne edition . They claim that my car is in brisbane and yet honda has ran out of it because its too popular so they are going to fix up the extra stuff ( alloy wheels, parking sensors ...etc ) up in their dealer workshop :( on to the car?

that sounds right. there are no more '40th anniversaries' left as such. just remember they are basically a honda civic VTi with the added accessories on them
They are pretty much telling you that they are just trying to find your civic which you have specified which they obviously dont have in their own stock and they are going to option it up like the 40th.
the only thing you will probably not get is the 40th anniversary badging which is one little badge on the back. big deal
I know again over here in Perth there is a 4-6 week wait on the added accessories because they just didnt expect to sell that many, hence the people waiting for their optioned up civic vti are waiting for the extra accessories to arrive.
anyone got their cars yet?
i bought a vti yesterday and they told me they will have it mid this week.
in the meantime i have jazz vti-s as a courtesy car :)
took 7-8 weeks for mine to come.. we said 6 or no deal and after 6 they wouldnt let us cancel. focks
